Book Summary: Martin Alcott, an out of work IT Engineer, can’t shake his recurring nightmares of skyscrapers and cathedrals. This morning’s dream was different, though: he’s now certain he’s being watched. Halfway up London’s newest high-rise, Martin arrives promptly for his first job interview in weeks, only to find the office empty in more ways than one.
Meanwhile, The Duchess, a powerful and enigmatic woman, sits at her desk high in her tower mansion. A panicked phone call alerts her to a deviation in her meticulous plan, and she sees a stranger on her security cameras. She’s stunned to realize…
I’ve seen that face before.
